Evidence comes before a conclusion
FitFootprint begins with the buyer question and the exact decision context. For space-sensitive equipment, that includes the room, delivery path, product state, intended use, and the source or measurement behind every material input. The process is designed to distinguish a useful documented fact from a claim that still needs verification.
Documentary research
For a research-based guide, FitFootprint checks the current documentation that is relevant to the claim, such as the exact product page, manual, support document, warranty, return policy, or public safety information. Product-family names, retailer titles, and promotional descriptions are not treated as enough when model, variant, market, or revision affects the answer.
Room-fit and dimension method
Package, assembled, operational, access, folded, moved, and stored states are recorded separately. A smaller folded size does not establish that a product is allowed to be stored in that position. A rectangular comparison is a screen, not proof that a package can be carried around a turn or that a final placement is safe or compliant.
Unknowns remain visible
If a material input is missing, conflicts with another exact source, or cannot be evaluated for the stated scenario, FitFootprint limits or withholds the conclusion. The site does not convert an unresolved question into a universal clearance, fit, safety, structural, electrical, accessibility, medical, or professional recommendation.
Direct access and hands-on claims
FitFootprint does not label documentary research as hands-on testing. A direct measurement, controlled-use observation, or other first-hand claim is used only when the exact item, method, conditions, and limitations have been recorded. Until then, a guide is presented as research-based documentation.
Updates and corrections
Material information can change when a product version, manual, price term, availability, policy, safety notice, or source changes. The site is designed to record a meaningful update rather than changing only a displayed date. Correction reports can be sent through the Corrections Policy or directly to contact@fitfootprint.com.
